Removing the bulb is an MOT fail I believe.
Thanks for your informative reply, much appreciated. Could you kindly let me know what this connector looks like - what am I looking for under the seat and what do I do when I find it? And what should I be buying if this doesn't work to diagnose the fault and reset? I've read a few of the posts on the kit but I'm a bit thick when I read technical speak that I don't fully understand. Thanks for your informative reply, much appreciated. I'd be very grateful for any further help, of course I'd rather not revert to removing the light.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for this reply, I don't know how to do this, any chance you could poont me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful!!!Hi, under Guides at the top of the Barchetta forum look at speedo repair, that will get you into where the bulbs are. However, have you tried the advice on how to connect to the ecu/airbag plug and resetting the airbag light? Apologies if you have but many have had success.

Thanks for this, very informative and helpful reply. May I ask what am I looking for, as in, what does the connector look like?Slide the seat to it's most forward position.
You will see a cable coming out of the floor (almost central to seat) going to the seat. Run you fingers up this cable and you will feel/encounter the connector.
Now for the tricky bit. Space is tight and difficult to view. You need a good light and mirror. Carefully inspect the connector to see how it unlatches.
DO NOT unlatch yet. Disconnect the battery and leave the car to stand for say 10 to 15 minutes. This is to allow the airbag control unit to self discharge and stop it throwing yet another error code to either of the seat connectors.
Once you have identified the latch/method holding the two connects part together you will probably neen to slide the seat back to give more slack in the cable to play with and get your hands on and release the latch.
One unlatch check to terminal corrosion, bent pins/sockets and for damaged cables. Clean and lube.
Putting back is far easier.
If you really can't figure out how to undo the connector, or work in that confined space then you can unbolt the seat and lift and tip it up for vastly improved access.
