Is it gonna match with it if i buy it ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FIAT-ALFA-VAG-USB-OBD2-DIAGNOSTIC-CABLE-ECU-for-MULTIECUSCAN-UK-DISPATCH/281876043346
My concern is, the black alligator clip is not there on the one that you showed me first
Last thing, i see on the forum IAW scan 2 softaware that can scan the vehicule also. What do you think about it? It certainly not as good as MES but it seem that it can do the job. It can show datas from the sensors and also errors codes... thats the only thing i need for the moment ....
Plug your car code reader into the diagnostic link connector under the dash (engine off). Then start the vehicle and follow the code reading procedure in the instruction manual.
I have a 1995 1.6 convertible (88hp). I have the connector but don't know which software can i use in order to read ECU.
Can anyone tell me how to read the ECU in this car?
Thanks!
Hi,
Multiecuscan is probably the best software www.multiecuscan.net
You can check your exact model here http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx. If the module is listed in red you need the registered version. Interface needs to be a USB (or serial 232) KL / Vag-Com type plus a 3 wire adaptor.
If your car has an Magneti Marelli ECU you could try IAW Scan http://iaw-scan2.sourceforge.net/

As I saw it, my ECI is from GM, and Multiecuscan can't read this model's engine ECU. What sofatware can I actually use in order to read the engine ECU?
