Has anyone removed their fuel tank? On a scale of 1 to 10, how big a pain is it?

Gareth, if you have ever removed the rear panel, that is the worst part, but make sure the tank is as empty as you can, cos it sits on location pins at the rear. So is heavy to lift

Rear panel's already out, so I've crossed that tricky bridge. Not looking forward to putting it back (which I was hoping to do next week, until I snapped off one of the studs that secures the fuel pump yesterday )

Yeah, try and empty as much fuel as possible. There are three or four screws by the filler cap to undo, two bolts inside, taking the seats out makes it easier too. Otherwise it’s not a big job.
