Hi fellow Stilo owners.
For some 4,5 years I updated my Stilo 5D stereo with a used Connect NAV. I bought it from a British ebay store.
A month ago, started freezing and making lines and garbage on TFT until it stopped working.
Tracing down the circuit, i found a burned transistor of the LED array on TFT board. The failed part was getting real hot consuming up to 2 A.
I replaced the transistor, backlit on keys was back then, but system continue to fail booting.
So I took apart all boards and assumed the problem was corroded solder especially to memory and eeprom chips.
Using a hot air station, I reflowed these parts using flux. That was a real success!
Traced down the problem and it was on some pins of top eeprom chip so the system wont start.
Now its running smoothly
