Hi got a 96 coupe that I bought with broken cam belt and 16 bent valves!
Replaced valves; new head gasket; cambelt and balance belt.
car has been in storage for about 4yrs before I got it.
Turns over, fuel pump working but nothing coming out of injecters! Will run with engine start squritted down air intake.
Have tried 3 keys with it asyellow code/key lit up on dash, and injector light stays on.
Any help much appreciated, as not many of the coupes in NZ.

If the yellow code/key doesn't go out shortly after ignition turned on(but not yet to start)
Then the immobilizer isn't turning off.
If you have the three keys you have on the same key ring this can cause the problem. If not you will need further help.

Thanks, keys all seperate; will look at immobilizer already replaced ECU hoping it might be faulty.

Was it engine ecu that you changed? If it was,was it new? Or second hand? If it was second hand engine ecu, you will need the keys and the code box from the car the engine ecu came from.

Hi gone back to orginal ecu, yellow key code light goes out. But now injector light comes on and still wont start. Any ideas/suggestions

crank sensor

should be under the starter motor at the gearbox end of the engine.

The engine will crank, but the ECU won't start the car if this is duff. It's a classic failure.
