Hi All,
My brother recently bought a 1.4 16v Multiair evo. It's had a mild misfire for a couple of months. Eventually it broke down on the motorway, the engine still ran but it was rough and was way down on power.
Recovering it to the garage they diagnosed it as the dreaded multiair actuator.
I bought a new one on Shop4Parts and they fitted it like they have down a few times (common fault I guess?) but the car refuses to start and run. The engine just turns over with little compression. They think the exhaust valve maybe remaining slightly open.
They're at a loss at what it could be now, does anyone have any ideas other than setting it on fire? :devil:
