Brooklands Motorsport and Aviation Museum 2018

Show season is back upon us, beginning with Brooklands! Of course, FiatForum will be having a designated stand to show off our cars so if you'd like to be on the stand please add yourself as attending at the top so we know who to expect. Every member of FF is welcome to have their car on the stand we like to have as big a range as possible.

What is this event?

Auto Italia returns to Brooklands in 2018 on Saturday May 5th. This popular event has become the jewel in the crown for Italian car enthusiasts and in 2011 over 5000 spectators turned out to enjoy some wonderful cars in the spring sunshine. The combination of activities will once again include the demonstration of 50 specially selected cars on the Mercedes-Benz World test track and the opportunity for classic car owners to run up the famous test hill.

As you veteran attendees will know Brooklands is famous for its Hill Run (https://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2996)

The FF Stand

EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Don't be shy!

This is a great opportunity for newbies to meet fellow Fiat owners, socialise and talk about your pride and joys (if you want ). Make it the first of many Official Fiat Forum shows you attend for 2018. Come along, chill out on the stand, have a nosey at other members cars and enjoy a fantastic day out!

Last years photo's can be seen here: https://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=4177

We also are happy to announce that our friends at MultiECUScan have provided us with their latest MultiECUScan Multiplexed system, so we'll be offering a basic diagnosis service over at our Dr. FIAT table.

So if you've had any strange lights popping up on your dash, or you're getting error codes when you start up, be sure to book in and we'll give it the once over.

The FiatForum stand will be on the Banking as usual.

Tickets

All details here including advance tickets and paying on the day.

This year it's an electronic ticket, so you will need to print the booking confirmation and bring it with you to the event.

How do I signup?

Well firstly EVERYONE IS WELCOME and indeed the more the merrier - there's just a few things we ask of you:

  1. Please click the "Add Me" link at the top of this thread, choosing how many +1s you will bring (if any)
  2. Fill in the Event Registration form found in your user control panel (we use this to try and plan a design a bit)

WHEN YOU ARRIVE... and have parked up, please come over to the marquee.

Where is it?

Yes! Favourite event of all year [emoji14] definitely coming! Hopefully bringing my Mk1 Punto and my Abarth 595 this time though [emoji108]

Not sure if there are any official plans so I think it's just a case of turn up at the show when it opens. That said there's nothing stopping anyone from meeting up at tescos and heading over at their leasure so if your in a car club or your heading down with your mates in tow (hopefully metaphorically not literally! ) then get talking amongst yourselfs! :) there's quite a few sections on here like the punto gang and the panda crew so I'm sure something can be arranged (y)

Looking forward to this show again, its always a good one and its nice to represent Fiats against the sea of others..........

I'm coming up from deepest Cornwall. Is it a good show? Will be bringing my Panda 100hp.

What’s the plans for meeting at Tesco’s this year?

I went there last year - there was a decent number of cars - but it didn't seem to be any particular group. Saw the Lancia Delta guys over one side, the cool kids in another part, and the randoms like me haha. Last year I arrived at Tesco, gave the car a real quick spray down and headed straight for the show. To be fair it was gridlock from Tesco to the gates, so a "convoy" wasn't even necessary, you were in one whether you liked it or not! Apparently Abarths and Alfas are through a different gate this time - may help the queues.

I'm heading straight for the gates this year.

Oh wow that's a trek! It really is, you'll never see so many Fiats any other time. People are super friendly, and it's a very chilled event. (y)

How do we go about getting to the fiat forum area once we are in the queue ?

All the FIATs get lumped together, so you just follow the rest of them :D

You sometimes can just tell them that's where you're aiming for. It's easy enough. Find another car with a Fiatforum sticker if you can haha. Can also chat in the queue.

Unless you get ushered into the Abarth paddock because "your car has stripes" and have to get them to check the badge on the damn front.

Was gonna stick a scorpion on it somewhere this year but thought that would be just too much for them to cope with.

Yes my favarite show too.love auto italia (y) looking foward to saying hello to other fiat forum members and looking at all the fiats and other lovely italian models as well.been going every year since 2010 [same fiat too].see you all there:D

I'm looking forward to coming down from Staffordshire again this year too having missed 2017. Are there any other Stilo Schumacher owners coming?

Are Fiats still entering from Brooklands Road this year and parking on the old banking?
