hi all, i thought i would share with you all the oily rag resto on benjammos old seicento. some of you may remember this car, i bought this from him a while ago now and it was in a hell of a state,it all started from a beer at his local when i agreed i would buy it and sort it all out!

it did however have quite a few modifications, some of which ive ditched and others that ive kept. it is running a 1.2 16v punto engine plus six speed box, lowered, its got my old dash that i made for mine many moons ago and plenty more

anyway ive been busy and still got plenty more to do but here goes!

as it came in :

the repairs started

stunning looking car, great resto, thats just how I'd have rebuilt it too

Also its a 1.2 8v, 2.9mm skim on the head, 1.6 injectors, 866 cam lightened fly wheel, 40mm ish TB and probably some other things I cant remember

the car had a center exit exhaust fitted as a result the rear bumper had been cut out in the middle to accomodate it. i wanted an exhaust in the standard place so took the pipe off and got another bumper off my donor car, repaired it and primed it ready, the bumper was off an spi so had to fill the little holes left by the orange trim

Its a shame the punto abarth kit didnt make it on tho....

to be honest one of the skirts was really naff and couldnt be bothered with hours of choppin etc so they got ditched for a standard set

front bumper :

well, the complete respray is finished!! just spent the weekend rebuilding it ! only a couple more small bits to do then it will be completed!

i have got a schumacher sei so im letting this one go and keeping the schumi ill do a resto thread on that one soon

No mate I've got a standard dash going in, hopefully tomorrow all being well

Shame really because the car is getting scrapped monday

Can't you just give it away? Is scrapping it the only option?

Where are you located and how much was it up for?

Do you know any think about the 1.4 engine swap into the seicento

Wait, did you really just scrap it? If not yet then I am willing to come and take it off your hands if it's roadworthy.
