Hi
So I went to start the car this morning and got nothing just lights on the dash including immobiliser, steering, ABS ect and a small clicking from the engine bay. I tested the battery and its fine then I connected a jump lead between the earth on the battery and the engine and tried again and it started. ECU earth on top of the engine looks good. Any suggestions tahanks

Should I replace the earth strap from the gearbox???

Definitely check the cables, including under the plastic sheathing. Likely you have a bad terminal and/or corrosion in the cable

FIXED IT!






Basically the earth cable from the gearbox had pretty much snapped at the point where it bolts to the body before the battery, went to Halfords bought a earth cable for a fiver bolted it in and job done.
