How the heck do you tell if your doors are locked? Also does the security light flash all of the time? Can't get used to the alarm system either keeps going off when I unlock the car and open a door?

Hi, I would suggest changing the remote key fob battery because as the voltage drops in the battery it may only have enough power to unlock the doors but lack power to turn off the security system. Most key fobs have a dual function via an infra red beam.
DO NOT CHANGE THE BATTERY WITHOUT GLOVES ON AS YOU CAN WIPE THE CONTROL SIGNAL AND/OR DISCHARGE THE SMALL NEW BATTERY.
