It looks nice, but it was below zero nontheless! When it was time to leave my 500 was so frozen that the accelerator cable lacked lubrication completely and the pedal would get stuck every time i pushed on it!

Your comment regarding frozen throttle pedal brought back memories!! When I had JJJ43D I was initially still living at home in North Kent--and Kent can get very cold, with a lot of snow. It was not unknown for me to start my trip to work using the ignition as a throttle! (tedious, but it does work--sort-of). After a few minutes a combination of the car warming up and me trying to work the throttle would free it off. A small dodge that I found worked was to remove the throttle cross shaft, clean up and lubricate the bushes as much as possible and then re-fit the pedal cross-shaft with a thick washer under each of the 2 mounting lugs. Doing this raised the cross-shaft off the floor, and made it less susceptible to dampness in the carpets/mats--and it is that dampness that freezes.
