Now TA 4x4s are 3 years old plus, secondhand naturally the way to go as someone else has had all the depreciation. I guess the Orange 13 plate will attract someone simply based on mileage. I've seen a lot of fairly high mileage cars of the same age. I just have the feeling you could get 3 or 4 happy years out of it before it caught up as it were (still doesn't make it great value though I agree).
Back to JR Kitching's other point, I had a new Panda 1.2 previously. Thanks to a very generous discount of a third (and 0% finance), I really didn't lose that much money later. Which is why I couldn't bring myself to consider a new 4x4. 3 year residuals were about 37% I think. So a 31 month one with 8k miles was perfect for me.
