Hi everyone - recently purchased a 2006 Grande Punto Eleganza, and find the rear doors will only open from the outside by pressing in the top of the door frame above the glass, whilst simultaneously pulling on the door handle.
It works every time - but why is it necessary? The doors don't appear distorted - is the door seal so good that the flexing of the window frame is needed to break the seal or does someone have a simple fix please? The child locks are disabled and the doors open OK from inside.

If its anything like my punto, i had to put black tape round the door catch area to stop the knocking noise when i went over bumps (the knocking noise comes from the lock mechanism) as a result of this the door are harder to open from the outside. Check to see if there is any tape in the door catch area
