Punto ignition relay problems, I think

Mk1 Punto was dead to the world, nothing happened when key inserted. Left it for two days, thinking it was a dead battery, and came back, put in the key, started first time.

Only sign is that the clock is now three (or 3+12, 3+24 etc) hours slow.

Any ideas?

It started fine at 0830 this morning, and then refused to start at 1000 - so I'm thinking that it's a dodgy relay.

Your thoughts?

hmmm fact that clock is out means that at somepoint there was no power at all not even enough to keep a lil clock going. not sure about relay that could explain the no activity when key turned. but the clock could mean a loose connection. check the batetr make sure the terminals are on tight. i had once come off once when driving dint know untill it would notstart next time.
