Hi all,

I'm a new forum user & Fiat owner I have a 1998 Palio, when I bought the car I noticed the paint work had deteriorated around the fuel cap but just put it down to poor maintanance by the previous owner.

I have filled up the tank twice & when the gauge gets to around the 3/4 mark petrol gushes out of the fuel tank, the strange thing is when the tank is full it doesn't leak out at all.

Finally after I've lost a significant amount of fuel about a 1/4 of the tank it settles down again & behaves normally.

If anyone has had a similiar experience I would appreciate your advive.

Leaking cap.
Look at ePER on top of this page for the part number, and find a replacement on Ebay.
