Dismounting here and there, I found a little bit of slack on the ball bearing situated on the long drive shaft, timing belt side (offside for you, nearside for me, or so I think).

I'm asking if it is possible to change the ball bearing only (I doubt).
You can see it from photos attached.

Or else, I think I have to change (I hope not) the whole drive shaft.

The slack seems little, so I think for now I can grease it up, but I want to be prepared .....

probably have to grind that bearing outer and inner shells down till your very close to the actual drive shaft

Then you get a sharp metal chiesel and wack it - to crack the bearing race

This will then allow you to slide it off

Refitting may forwell require a press and some genius way todo it

If the bearing has two parts, an inner and outer race, then it has been pressed onto the shaft when the shaft was manufactured and can be pressed off and replaced. You might need to take it to a bearing specialist who can do this for you.

If the bearing runs on the shaft, so the shaft is the inner race, then a new shaft is the only fix.
