Hi my mum has a fiat 500 1.2 lounge semi auto. Since pretty much new she has had this problem starting. It basically sounds like the starter motor sticking and makes a loud metallic clang sound when starting. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it sounds like it has flat battery. Fiat have replaced battery twice under warranty and said that should sort it. Anyway out of warranty now and she had a new starter motor fitted. It was fine for a few weeks but has now started doing it again. It's low mileage car only done 15k. Independent mechanic says it could be something to do with emission control? Any ideas, help or suggestions would be much appreciated please. Thanks Dan
