Many of you already know this car. Unfortunately recently it suffered a melted piston.

My Brother and I are going to be rebuilding it with a few more upgrades this time.

I thought it would be rude not to share the progress as we go....

Battery tray and some other parts will be powder coated this time as the paint has not weathered well.

Only one went missing, piston 2's rod is completely sheared but piston is intact

I have had several parts arrive over the last few weeks and am currently waiting on the arrival of Pistons and Rods to progress further with the rebuild.

Leighton at FC performance has polished and balanced the Crankshaft. I decided to have the crank balanced due to realising that the engine Barbz had supplied had the balance shaft removed.

Leighton is also supplying a gas flowed cylinder head, Fuel pump wiring modification, front mount intercooler kit and a big MAF kit. He will be fitting uprated injectors when he remaps.

I have also been sorting out a bonnet with Marea 20vt vents from Brazil...

MMmmmm, so many shiny's!!

Justin that bonnet belongs on mine .....it's even the same color
