Hi all again?

Planning to do an oil change on gearbox on my 2006 Ducato 2.0 JTD.
So my question is: Where are the drain and fill plugs?? What oil does it take & how much?

All answers appreciated. Also any photo or drawings of gearbox drain/fill.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Per. Norway

Assuming it's a X244, and it has a fifth gear, and also assuming it's the same as the 2.8JTD then the oil is drained from an 8mm square socket on the underside of the gearbox, which is obvious when you're laying underneath ! I used Castrol Universal 75W-90 but there are obviously equivalents. Takes 2.7litres with the 5th.gear gearbox.
Remove the air filter caniser and also the other pipework connected to it, then you'll see the clutch mechanism on the top of the gearbox. Just to the rear of this you'll see a breather with a black plastic cap. Remove the cap, and using a funnel and plastic tubing slowly refill the gearbox with the correct amount.

Hi again & thanks.

Yes it's a 244 box

So the gearbox are the same on these two models then??Sounds like an easy job.?

Will have a look and check.

Kind regards
