Hi chaps.. just redid engine for a friend, after driving 5kms, it suddenly died and haven't managed to start it since.


Checked fuses, replaced all wires and installed a new ignition module (silver one on the distributor).


This model doesn't have points, its electronic.. car ran perfect before!


when u do the screw driver trick on the coil wire, it sparks when we turn car on and off, but nothing while cranking.. surely the coil should still spark occasionally?


anyway, its dead and not sure what else to try


is there a way to diagnose where the spark is being lost with a multimeter?? Car is def getting fuel, serviced the carb - like I said ran perfect, then literally just died and no spark since then. triple checked fuses...

First thought is crank sensor.

possibly a reference to the OP starting several threads,

I believe it was a jumped cambelt..
