Technical How much fuel left once fuel light comes on?

Hi.

How much fuel will i have once the fuel light comes on? I have a Grande Punto 1.9tdi Sporting and i have left my fuel key at home. It is just above the red bar at the moment but will have a 34 mile journey to do to home.

Once it flashes yellow is this dangerously low?

You should get at least 40miles id say from light on.
On the motorway id say 60mile if at a constant speed.
Did you swap your fuel cap? Mine uses my car key?

You would have anywhere from 5 to 10 liters... so drive economically and you can do anywhere from 50 to 100 km.

Most Iv got is 60 miles from my 1.2

Once the light comes on, it's 7 litres. So, as long as you average above 22.1mpg (which I should bloody well hope you do!) over your 34 miles, you'll be fine
