I'm in Australia & I recently used this forum to clean my EGR valve. Car was blowing black smoke, loosing power & check engine light on. My mechanic ran diagnostic thingy & said it was EGR valve. Fiat Quoted me $2000.00 so I had a go myself. Cleaning didn't work as the solanoids were gone.Bought new valve online from UK & fitted today. Check engine light went off & power was back!!! took it for a good run to blow out the cob webs & all was good at first? Still lost power up hill (foot flat to the floor) & in 2nd gear it almost died? Check engine light back on!!!! Have no idea? Is it gear box, turbo...? Just over this car as I bought it new in 2006 & has cost me a fortune. Turbo diesel multijet 1.9ltr grande? HELP!!!!
