Hi all! Having an issue , have just fitted new subframe at weekend ,all went well until I started car and found the engine has a strange whirring /whizzing sound so just killed engine after short drive off the driveway anybody got any ideas?

Did you disconnect power steering hoses to the rack (assuming you didn't leave the rack in car while chaning subframe)?
If so, air in the system or low fluid if you didn't add any.

Other wise, listen where the noise comes.

Thanks, Neverth ran out of light last evening, no I left rack in but had removed the two fixing bolts too move it up out of the way, but did notice brake fluid had escaped from the fill tank fluid was all around the cap even though it was closed, but I will check fluid level and power steering rack as soon as possible and Post back, many thanks for the info
