Hi,

my spedo works one min and not the the next, it still has a reading when its not working but when i am doing about 40miles and hour it reads i am doing 2-5 miles and hour can anyone tell me what the problem is and tell me how i can fix it,

I believe it is prob a sensor or something

For starters what engine is in the car ?
Second what year and trim ?

It's a 1.2 y plate if that makes and difference

It does, first check the connection on the gearbox sender - take off the connector clean it reattach it. Then hit the dash with your hand above it a few times and check the fuses and their connections left of the steering wheel. If that wont work, you need to check the dash back connections and it may be that your speed sensor is faulty.
Did it start sudden to act like that ?

It did Yes it likes to work in the morning and stops working when i am in traffic etc

Sounds like its temp related - My guess the sensor is shot, but cant be 100% sure
