Hi all a friend of mine at work has asked me to find out how much her private reg is on her calibra as she is gonna scrap it the reg is c4mph btw does any1 know the best place to find out?

only way really is to look at ones similiar advertised for sale, check the dvla first as they will eb cheapest, but cant sell for people.


places like new reg, elite will onyl buy the plate from you at a low price, as they cant gaurantee sellign it etc, normally they advertise it for you and take commission, but your friend will need to keep the vehicle registered and maybe an mot??? to keep the rights to the plate, or pay the £80 to have it put on certificate now.

oh and read the FAQ's and small print, if she has cashed in the tax she will need to re-tax it to be able to transfer the reg. if the tax has expired naturally you have 12 months to transfer as long as you have declared it sorn as soon as the tax ran out.

Infact, they'll do it for you as long as your car is taxed/MOT'd etc.

Also to add a note.

Not only does the car need to be taxed but it also need to have a valid MOT aswell.
