ok dum question as it happens to alot of people and its mainly a material issue. the display on my head unit dims at high volume even wehn little bass to the speakers is selected. im only running 6x9s and kenwood 13cms. why is this happening, also the sound quality isnt brilliant, no matter how much i muck about with the settings. its a really good head unit brand new and its got 4x70w max outputs. its awesome but not happy with the sound.

anything that i can buy or do to stop the dimming cos it looks crap and im fed up with it. plus i want better sounds. checked all the wiring and all speakers are how they should be, connected to left right front and rear correctly.

cheers in advance guys

Find a much better EARTH connection than the one you currently have to cure the dimming.

Fit an amp to your speakers and run phono cables from it to the new head unit to cure the poor sound quality.

Hey presto!

Head unit amps are never ever as powerful as they claim, 10-15W is a more realistic figure.

Get an external amp.
