Definatly interested mate. 1 thing, do they fit the hgt as there different to other models. If they fit then i'll have 1 and pick it up off you at the mud karting meet if you get them in time. Tried to email you but failed twice. mine is, [email protected]

Just out of interest, anybody else heard that insurance companies can refuse to pay out if you are hit in you car and have a strut brace on!!??

The reason being that if you are hit one side, the damage is carried accross the brace to the other side, thus damaging that side, or bickling the chassis, making a car that may have been repairable to a write-off.

they dont invalidate ur insurance as long as they are declared but the second part is most defianetly true.

If you can remember back a couple of months, BenH's mother had a minor accident in her hgt. It only needed a bonnet,bumper,wing and a aircon condenser yet her insurance writ it off.
My point is, whatever shunt you get its gunna be a write off anyway so i would'nt worry about damage being transfered accross a strutbrace.

Very valid point Lee, a decent scratch along a couple of pannels would result in an uneconomical repair. Might be interested lozz, are they ally or steel? Has anyone actually fitted one, was there a noticeable change in handling-be it an improvement or not?

Ok went there today, the place machine there own strut braces, an say that if a few of us want them they will make them new and can powder coat them in a variety or colours here are some pics i took this evening

yeah they are really nice, and as he says he can have them powder coated in quite a few colours, i'll speak to him tomorrow see what colours he can do
