what gear oil do ppl use in their sei's or cinqs?

my gears have become quite notchy especially when changing down at speed

so im gonna change clutch cable as well which looks knacked! but wanna know wots best gear oil to use?

its got EP80W in at minute.

Hi,
Cinq gearbox's seem to work best on semi synthetic gear oil, the best apparently is Castrol Syntrax gear oil, but that is only available in 1L bottles and at £10 each (you need 3), it gets a bit expensive. I put Coma SX75 semi synthetic gear oil in my 899cc and it works great, and its only £12 for 5L, but the general point of view is Castrol Syntrax is the one to have.... :)

ps. Have you adjusted your clutch cable recently....?

Thanks
Paul T

yeah ive tried adjusting it and it then just seems to get bad again, its hard to get gears sometimes and the clutch pedal feels heavy!

ive got some 75w/90 semi at work, wud that be ok?

i have found "Slick50" gearbox additive helped make things a bit quieter in the gearbox area, :D
