hi guys,
ive the mk2 52 plate 1.2 punto....

ive put my 17 inch wheels on it, because the alloys are a more open style, the discs look tiny.... what can i put in ,and what do i need to change?
cheers..
also the tiny drums on the back are embarrasing, is there anything i can do to improve it?

well you will need to fit bigger calipers if you want to go for bigger discs, though on a 1.2 your not really going to need it.
you could do a rear dis conversion quite easily if you wanted but with the possible effect on the insurance it may be better to change cars!!

for a little aesthetic improvement fit grooved/drilled discs on the front and either paint the drums black or a bright colour depending on your taste

If you put bigger disks on the front you could possibly run into cases of locking up as there is not enough weight in the car to warrent the extra stopping power.

My suggestion would be the Red-Dot disks and Pads. £140 for the set.

With regards to the rear drum brakes, you could convert them using the HGT setup but it is a lot of work and the car doesnt need it.
