Hi All,

I'm currently on a Practical Engineering Apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce (Aerospace Division) and we are practicing Lathe skills. We have been able to think of our own small custom jobs made out of either Aluminium, Steel, Brass or Nylon. I chose to make a replacement aerial for my car which I am really happy with as it also works, a bit.

(the photo's will follow for anyone interested to see - comments welcome also)

But my question is this, other than dust caps, as the aluminium/steel will corrode and seize to my valves, what else could I make?! I've been racking my brain as I have 6 hours to complete a small custom job tomorrow and I need some ideas ASAP. Anything interior or exterior, aesthetic or functional. Just something, anything!

Thank, Olly.

-What about brass valve covers? would they corrode? then maybe stainless.
-Brass/stainless oil cap.
-alloy center caps.
-as it's been said: gear knob with lift ring.. but i don't think you would appreciate the cold feeling in the morning..
I know this is not really for this car .. but: bush puller/extractor kit with different sizes.
