I have just bought a great little 100hp. Am getting a rattle from the front suspension when cornering. It when the weight is off the wheel it gets worse. Any ideas?

Anti roll bar drop link is the most likely suspect.
They can appear ok when the weight is on the wheels or the wheel hangs (when jacked up), but when the car skips over bumps they rattle like buggery when worn.

Fairly cheap and easy to replace both sides.

I have a Multijet . Have relatively new , shocks and wishbones(both bought from the recommended forum supplier) .Unfortunately mechanic who fitted shocks wasn't great .Had to bring them back a second time to him -bumpstops were quite/very worn and he may have even forgotten them on one side ,at least initially .Ive read even a few hard thumps on shocks without bump stops can wear them out .145k miles . It shows no signs of any suspension issues in general driving but on certain speed ramps and deep surface ripples will give the most horrific metal on metal thud .Could this be these drop links or is it more likely the shocks ?Thanks .

Worth replacing the track rod ends too as these wear and rattle a lot.
