Technical Coolant drip

Technical Coolant drip

Any water pump is liable to fail, but the biggest killer is straight water!

Coolant has lubricating properties, so if in the past some owner has burst a hose (or more likely a radiator on these...) they may have run it for a while with no or insufficient amount of coolant and the bearing will run too hot.

If this happens, the seal goes and the pump starts leaking :(

It's never had the coolant run low and it's still pink i've had it for the last 2.5 years. It may not be coming from the water pump although that drip certainly points in that direction. I have only noticed it since had the cover off due Sh!tfit chewing up the sump plug which they can't remove. New one on order so they had better find a way of removing it. Last time I go to them for anything, they lost the cover from my brothers Doblo. (£200) for new 1. They paid!:slayer:

Yes ignore everthing I wrote, I removed wrong screw holding oil filter cover on. This allows water to leak from the oil cooler. So all is well, dont like to leave incomplete thread. Got a new sump plug fitted ,(opel corsa T45) should anyone else need one for mk3 doblo.
