I hope someone can please help. We brought our Doblo a few months ago, but we have now been having problems with the gearstick locking in either reverse or, as of today both reverse and first gear. We have to turn off the engine, then we can,with some effort, get it out of gear.

A friend looked at the gearbox last week and said it was low on gearbox fluid(?), which he sorted, but problem happened again today, except this time with first gear as well.

Only got 91,000 miles on her. I have no idea about cars, but was hoping someone could give me some ideas that I could pass on.

I would be looking at the clutch fluid level or the clutch itself.

If it comes out of gear when the engine is off, that is a dragging clutch issue in my eyes.

How far does the clutch pedal travel?

I rather think the clutch may be worn.

Thanks Andoo, it does have a lot of travel, but was not sure if that was just how Doblos are. Will ask them to look at the clutch for me. Thanks again
