Hi, I have noticed a crack about an inch long in the new front disc, I fitted them about 3 weeks ago, I can feel the crack when I rub my finger nail across it is it dangerous, thanks for any advice.

Hi yes I would say so as the disc is must be weak on the crack and may split or break apart from the heat from breaking. I would go back to the place you bought the disc and show them asap for a refund or a new set of discs

A crack that size, and one that you can actually feel, is not good.

A lot of well used Discs will likely have one or two small (<3mm) 'hairline' cracks on the surfaces, but for a new one to go like yours has suggests a manufacturing defect.

As Paul said, take it back to where you bought it asap.

That's always the risk of getting cheap stuff on ebay.
I'd rather pay a little more for certain items locally, so it's easy to sort things like this face-to-face.

Re: Brake disc

Good choice. I'm really pleased with the Pagid discs and pads I've got on the front. Excellent feel, progressive, don't fade, not too much brake dust. 20k miles on and they've still got loads of life left (in both the discs and pads) (y)
