I need a little help. My speedo is broke and i wonder if i will change it for another one/the whole panel/, will it work instantly or need some teaching, programing with the ECU?
My car is a Mk2 Punto 1.2 16v

get one from similar model to yours
ie all features are in the same place so a later model dash is a no no
swap them over
your mileage will be what the new speedo had on it prior to removal from a wrecker
the lcd part of this display might flash which means either a dealer at great cost or the paid for version of fiatecumultiscan is needed at €49 and the appropiate lead elm 27 i think plugged in via eobd lead and done whats called a proxy alignement ,basically you talk to speedo head and tell it to be pals with the main body computer

sometimes its plug and play and it works
you have nothing to fear by trying and you wont damage anything but i advise battery neg disconnected during swap just to be sure
