Hello everyone. My wife's antenna on her 500 was pulled off and unfortunately also ripped the cone (antenna base) off the roof. I want to try to see if I can just undo the bolt and re-attach it myself but I would like guidance getting the rear portion of the headliner off.

Has anyone done this? I assume there are these plactic pieces that can come off although they don't come off easily and I want to consult before I put force and try to rip it off (e.g., maybe I can 'rotate' it off like a screw?)

I appreciate any help or if anyone has pictures about this process in another thread. Thanks!

It's a PITA. You need the drop the rear hatch seal, remove all the headliner fixing plugs, C pillar trim, B pillar trim (caution: Airbags!), seat belt top mountings and ideally even front door seals to get the head liner to drop far enough to reach the nut.

You can do it with less effort, but you risk creasing the headliner.
