Hi all,

I've got a 2006 GP Eleganza 1.4l 16V which stalls when either idle, ie. the car is not moving, where the revs go below 10x; or when I hit the brakes coming to a stop, in which I noticed that even here the revs are really low.

I have done my research and found that the problem could be one of the following:

• Fuel Dirt
• Electrical/Fuel System
• Fuel Filter/Injector
• Plugs
• Carbourator Calibration
• Vapor Lock

I'm asking here to check whether there's a known problem with the GP or FIAT in general, since what I found was for other car makers.

I assume you have no EML light on.
Check for a split crankcase breather hose, which will allow excess air in to the engine.
Also consider the Idle control valve.
