Hi there,
I have a 53 reg mk2b 1.2 16v active sport which a few members on here may know, however, I have recently bought a cheap HGT as a runabout as the engine in the 1.2 16v has recently decided to start overheating quite often...
The HGT is a standard Y reg, mk2 and the bodywork is fairly crap everywhere altohough it has only done 53k miles and recently had the variator, cambelt, waterpump ect replaced. The 1.2 16v active sport has been slightly modified, coilovers, uprated breaks, alfa gt interior ect ect....
The question is, is it fairly simple to do a full engine conversion from the HGT to the 1.2 shell?? I literally have EVERYTHING available. A fully working HGT and a fairly good condition active sport shell which I much prefer to the HGT.
I'm just after the pro's and cons for the conversion. Obviously I want more power so I could essentially just use the HGT but I also want to keep the 1.2 shell as I have spent a fair amount of money on it.
Carl.
