Engine just packed a sad over the weekend. Sounds like there is a Jack hammer in top of the engine. Just came out of nowhere. Getting it recovered to local mechanic. He's going to strip it down and see what the issue is, but he reckons it'll probably easier/cheaper to replace the engine compared to ordering replacment parts for the current engine. Anybody got any experience on this. Its got about 60K on the clock, regularly serviced, so understandably I've got a bit of Fiat Hate going on at the moment.
