Hi guys can u help me ? Im removing my old shock absorbers and know every process in doing so, but the lower nut is on so tight and the head of the nut is kind of worn, I used an 18mm fitting with a torque wrench, tryed an airgun, wd40 and no joy. The fact that the head of the nut is half eaten the torque wrench keeps slipping off them. What should I do? Please help

It's very unwise to use a torque wrench to undo stuff: it's a precision measuring instrument , ferchrissakes. Proper tool is a breaker bar.

For the future, get yourself some GT-85 or Plus Gas. WD40 is better than nowt, but it's a **** poor releasing agent.

Are we talking about one of the two bottom front strut bolts? Important to know as wrong advice could result in rapid decapitation/castration.
