hi, ive got the 1.4 8v gp, looking to stick a bigger engine in it though, is the 1.4 16v engine a straight swap? what engines would people recommend?

It's not as simple as an engine swap. You'll need to change wiring looms and nearly all the ECU's

As always the advice has to be sell the car and buy a different model. Not only will an engine swap cost loads, you'll be left with a car that is difficult to insure and worth a fraction of its forma value.

I'm failing to see the logic. All of what has been said, the massive cost, the man hours, the problems, all for an extra 18BHP?
