tonight my 2007 grande punto with 26000 miles dualogic gear box has stopped priming and car has cut out.
i started the car earlier this evening after 2 days of not using it, it initially primed then i set off (temperature was just above freezing), i drove the car and it stuck in 3rd gear, slowed down to a crawl then set off again which seemed to resolve the problem, went into a shop, car would not start 3 attempts to start car, car then started, gear box would not engage first gear, managed to get it into auto and drove home, stopped veh outside house it cut out, i now can start the car but warning on dash shows gear box warning flashing with error check transmission, gearbox is not priming and again 3 attempts to start with other warning messages which i didnt manage to read?
its never really liked the cold weather sticking in 2nd or 3rd then jerking to 4th etc, but never has it stopped priming.
any ideas greatfully received
