Technical Diagnostic plug!!

Technical Diagnostic plug!!

it's located under the passenger handglove box.
Right next to the big fan box. I't probably clicked into it.
One for the airbag reset, other one for diagnostic.

maybe is under hood, where is that black box between wipers and engine

Hi All - I have the only B in South Africa where the cars were not imported because of left hand drive. The Fiat dealers here consequently did not import the software for the B. The Stilo and Grande Punto were however imported; wouldn't their diagnostic programme work on my B?

Hello Pete (HP) - I have had a look at the site which looks amazing. I wish I had people here who could explain all of this to me, although it is nicely presented. Did you use the free version? - I presume this has quite a few limitations. Practically, how did you start? Once downloaded, how did you select the plugs to use?

The free version allows you to look at most things, but limits what you can actually do - for example I couldn't reset the service indicator on the Alfa 159 until I had the paid-for version. It even identified that the heated door mirrors weren't working properly!

Looking at the site, it says you need a VAGCOM unmodified cable and 3-pin adaptor, so something like:

to get you talking to it.

edit: and a laptop, ideally!
