Hi guys,
I have just tried to get Day insurance for a car I am picking up tomorrow for my girlfriend.

Its her first car and I am picking it up from Yorkshire.
I have insurance on my Punto but cannot call my insurance company as they are not open so have been applying to online insurers.

RAC says they cannot insure me, and tempcover keeps erroring.

Does anyone know what companies I can try. Did the usual google search not seeing much out there.

Why do you think I got refused from RAC?

"Drive other Cars" with third party cover. Usually only get it when you're 25 and over.

where did you buy the car, some places have a deal if you buy a car from them then aviva will give 7 day free cover, used to be on all ebay cars not sure if it still is

if the RAC is "erroring" it means due to the underwriting score it wont cover you on their (her insurance)

If she has the car insured already and you do have DOC on your policy you can drive it on a 3rd party level.

Also used to be a deal if you pay £25 for a HPi check from one of the HPi companies you'd get free 7day drive away with fully comp cover.

I went with my current insurer but they only do minium for 1 month, so I am paying 300 for my g/f and I on the new car.
