Hey people!

Quick question, I'm with the RAC for my car insurance (Fully comp). I haven't added anything to the policy - Apart from break down cover.

Does anyone know if I have TPFT insurance to drive other vehicles? - I know some companies allow this.

Just looking for an answer tonight as I can't get through to the useless gits.

BTW - I'm 21. If that makes any difference. :)

Hey there,

Yeah their phones are pretty manic there at the moment!

I work for the company who administers the RAC policies. if your 21 theres a 90% chance that you dont have Drive Other Car on your policy, it is usually 25 or over if it is included on the policy.

You dont get Fire and theft btw, its Third party only cover :p

The term you're looking for is DOC (Driving Other Cars). It will be shown on your certificate if you have it.

It will only cover third party, not fire or theft and the other car must have it's own insurance as well.

Most insurance companies don't give it if you're under 25.

Do check your policy though as it'll be you getting 3 points, £60 fine and raped for insurance for the next 5 years if it's not and you think it is, not us (y)

6 points and a £200 fine for no insurance, plus maybe £150 recovery, plus daily storage fee.

Unless I've read it wrong and you weren't talking about no insurance lol.
