Relatively new to the forum, having purchased a smashing 05 plate Panda Eleganza last week.

Picked up on the the thread about decent Fiat garages in the Edinburgh area which gives a great steer for a good place to get my new Panda MOT-ed and serviced, but note that it was last updated in 2008.

Just wanted to check if anyone has had any recent experience of the Fiat Specialist garage listed in the above thread, and/or if anyone knows of any other decent independent places in the Edinburgh area.

Oh and just to say - I had my last car (an Ibiza) serviced by Arnold Clark once - never again and certainly wouldn't consider taking the new car there unless they have improved beyond recognition!

Just a wee update on my earlier Edinburgh Indi Fiat garage post.

Had to take my Panda in because of a problem with one of the rear break drums - one of the shoes had failed. As the car was a new purchase - albeit a 05 plate - asked if they could give it a general look over, just in case there were any other obvious problems.

Glad to report that I had excellent service. Car was booked in the day after I made my enquiry, problem sorted out without any issue, and the car given a thorough check out - even verifying it had actually had a recent timing belt change. And at a cost which I considered very competative indeed.

The garage is soon moving to a bigger set of premises in Jane Street, Leith - probably because they offer such good service. So if you have a Fiat and want trustworthy repairs or maintenance carried out, this is the place to go if you are based in or around Edinburgh!
