I am Brand New to the Fiat world. We just bought this car two days ago. Can anyone tell me what kind of transmission fluid to use in it? We have no owners manual or service manual. Thank you So much

I also have this car. The transmission used in the fiat is a chevrolet transmission. I believe that it was used in the late 70's chevettes. You would be safe to use any oil that is dextron or dextron I from your local Kragens, Checkers, O'reileys, etc.

Hi, Welcome to the FF.

Spider workshop manual says 2.8 ltr or 3 US Quarts (6 Quarts if the transmission has been rebuilt) of DEXRON.

Here's the page from the manual.

Dave.
