Excel graphs problems -SOLVED IGNORE
Hello
I am trying to make some line graphs in excel for my dissertation, but im having a problem which is quite hard to explain. Now both axis are numberd. On the vertical axis, i have a nice even scale going for the range of numbers i have input, but on the horizontal, the points are evenly spaced. for example say i put 3, 4 and 8 in for the horizontal, they arent evenly distributed along a numeric scale, but have equal spacing between them.
How can I alter this so the horizontal scale is like the vertical scale?
Here is a link to an image of the problem

Thank you
EDIT - found that changing it to a scatter graph rather than a line graph solved this
