Had this idea allready in May but the final work was done in the beginning
of august. Namely wanted to cheer up the front grilles and the corners of
the foglight covers.

My father-in-law told me that he could do the cutting & installion, so I did
the design work. Took 12 hours to do this and two lower front grilles from
a Seat Altea, 2005.

Total costs were 54 Euros ( and a bottle of Whisky ) and have to say I´m
more than pleased with the result:

That looks awesome, much better then standard. May I ask where you got the abarth badges from?

I believe his "cup of tea" is Jim Beam (y) Thanks for the compliments guys !

Actually developed the badge here in Finland with a designer in a local
vinyl shop. Made the badges to the front & rear and for the steering
wheel. Have now them laminated against water, moist, salt etc. with
Lamin-X.

The first picture is with the upper chrome trim but made also the "full
black" version of it:

The upper is almost ready:

Used this for glueing:

Re: Kustom Grille in Honeycomb - Style.

Thank you Stilo Newbie !

As the drilling and sawing started I wasn´t so sure how the project will
end ... ;)

The New Scirocco´s honeycomb was too big in my taste, but luckily I
had a Seat Altea parked next to my Bravo and so the idea started to
grow. In a right place at the right time.

The Black and Epic Grey theme continues in the mirrors and the B-pillars
wich I have given the carbon effect. Same treatment will be given to the
Sport rear spoiler.

Also I will consider to paint the whole package in black as the plastics will
show their age as the time goes by.

Well, Edradour it is then (y)(y) Haven´t bought the whisky yet ...

I saw also the new MY Edition 2010 front grille live at local Fiat- dealer
and kind of mixed feelings with the new front grille. You either like it or
not.

With your own custom grille you can choose the material and the design
the way you like though ;)

I like that a lot! (y) I'm not a fan of modded Bravos (Fiat really didn't do a bad job with the styling did they?!) but the black honeycomb looks much more subtle than the slightly naff silvery upper grille and downright cheap-looking lower grille.

Top work that man - the factory fitted grille ought to be based on yours :)

Thanks (y)

There were several different versions to cheer up the front grilles, but
a total change was the best to do.

The honeycomb is not a new thing and seems to be often nowadays in
sportier versions, att least the lower grille.

All the credit of the modification goes to my father in law, so will show
these answers to him :)

Not only does the honeycomb look the dogs b******s, but with intercooler, aircon condenser and radiator behind it, I'd be glad of the better protection.

I once had a stone go through the grille on a Hillman Avenger. Lost all my water and blew the head gasket:mad:

Way to go Stormi! :D

I wanted to do that for some time :D ... instead I got to do the same stripes as on my stormtrooper + my son's name in crome letters on his white bed ....... :slayer: he loves it...

back to the thread... I really like the honeycomb on the bravo... fits it well.. good job.. wanted it ever since I saw it on the fiat-bravo.info ;)

Cheers - Stormi.

It's a shame no one manufactures these so that you can buy and fit them direct, it's a really nice mod stormi but it looks like a lot of faffing around, shame the aftermarket guys don't consider making more enhancements for our cars..................
