am in the process of repainting my d model 500
the engine bay lid inside is bad with the heat insulation material peeling off
does anyone know what this insulation is
it looks like mastic but obviously must be heat proof
any help much appreciated

Not sure I have ever seen heat insulation inside the engine bay.

Any chance of posting a picture?
